Can I schedule a consultation before booking a full session?

Yes! Visit the “contact” tab and create a submission requesting a consultation. You will be offered appointment times to schedule a FREE 15 minute consultation.

What issues do you work with?

We support clients with a range of concerns including trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and personality disorders.

What type of therapy do you practice?

We use a variety of approaches at Pursuit including CPT, CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, and person-centered.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions are 53 minutes. This can vary depending on insurance coverage and needs of the client.

What if I’ve never been to therapy before?

That’s completely okay! Your therapist will walk you through the process step by step. You will receive the care you need and deserve at a pace that is most comfortable for you.

How often will we meet?

New clients will be recommended to meet with their therapist weekly in order to foster a good connection and establish goals. Frequency can be altered based on client need.

How will I know if therapy is working?

Progress looks different for everyone, but you and your therapist will create a treatment plan that outlines all of your goals and how you plan to achieve them. This will be reviewed regularly and adjusted as needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments canceled more than 24-hours in advance will not incur a charge. Your therapist will determine if the $75 cancellation fee will be applied based on nature of your late cancellation.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Length of treatment is different for everyone. Some clients attend for a short time to work on a specific challenge while others stay longer for ongoing support. You can express your needs and concerns and establish a timeline that is right for you. However, if that timeline happens to change, that’s okay too!
